That is an Orange Muffin in that fish's mouth.  Andy also told me it was reeled in on a Daiwa Saltist reel he bought from me.  Congratulations Andy!

 

9-2-2010  The Near shore forecast for Pentwater to Manistee:

 

Friday:  West winds to 30 knots increasing to gales to 40 knots.  A chance of showers until midday...then showers likely in the afternoon.  Waves 6 to 9 feet building to 7 to 11 feet late in the day.  

Friday night:  West gales to 40 knots. Cloudy with a chance of Showers. Waves 10 to 15 feet.

 

Sounds like a good time to tell the wife that you really have not spent enough time with her and you would like to hang around this holiday weekend instead of fishing.

 

9-1-2010  I had kind of a funny order yesterday.  I had a customer in Norway order some Rapalas, which of course were made in Finland.  These lures will have something like 8,000 miles on them before they see water.
