Adjustable Planer Board Release
Our three half size adjustable tension planer board releases come with a quick clip for use on dual planer boards and split ring for use on in line planer boards. Tension can be further adjusted by simply sliding the spring toward the pads to increase tension or away from the pads to decrease tension.
OR-10 Adjustable Light Tension Planer Board Release (Yellow) - This release is ideal for light biting fish such as Walleye or smaller fish using 10-25 pound test monofilament line.
OR-14 Adjustable Medium Tension Planer Board Release (Black) - This release comes as standard equipment on the OR-12 Side Planer and is ideal for dual planer board trolling for Walleye and Salmon using 10-25 pound test monofilament line. This is the release most commonly used for rigging add-a-lines or fixed slider lines among downrigger anglers.
OR-19 Adjustable Heavy Tension Planer Board Release (Orange) - This release comes as standard equipment on the OR-31 Side Planer SST and is ideal for Striper, Salmon, Trout, and Muskie using 10-25 pound test monofilament and lead core.

Offshore OR-16 Snap Weight Clip (The Red One with the Pin)
This half size clip has an extra heavy
spring tension and includes a split ring. You simply position your fishing line
behind the pin that protrudes through the center of the pads to hold your snap
weight securely on the line. This item is ideal of use with snap weight fishing
and super braid lines.
You can also use this clip on the

Bulldog Clip Catcher
Every once in a while I find a "must have"
product that I really want on my store. A couple of years ago after a long
day fishing out of Ludington for browns, I was reeling in my boards when a line
broke. I swung around and retrieved the board and thought myself lucky
until I realized I had lost over $50 worth of releases.
The Clip Catcher was designed by Captain John
Geer. John has been fishing his entire life. Starting out on the St.
Clair River and Lake St. Clair fishing for walleye and perch. For the last 20 +
years, removing large quantities of walleye and perch from Lake Erie.
Tired of losing planer board clips when the
planer board line breaks? So was he. He developed the BSC-125 "Clip
Catcher" to virtually eliminate the loss of clips due to line breakage. The
patented design of the "Clip Catcher" allows planer board clips to slide over
the wire retaining clip as clips reach the planer board. When the planer board
line breaks ( It will break eventually) all of the clips that have reached the
planer board will be captured by the BSC-125 retaining clip.
